Meet new friends & create unforgettable memories
The most exciting and rewarding times of your life are closer than you might think. NCS is an amazing opportunity for 16-17 year olds to unlock their potential by learning new skills, meeting new people and challenging themselves to try things they might never have had the chance to do before.
More than 200,000 young people from across the country have taken part in NCS so far – they’ll be part of a nationwide movement of young people with the skills, attributes and opportunities they need to achieve.
Experience the things they don't teach you in class
NCS is all about giving young people the skills and experiences they need to succeed in work and life – NCS looks great on CVs and gives young people something that makes them stand out from the crowd in interviews. Living independently is not only great fun, but also gives a taste of life to come – away from parents!
And taking part in NCS is just the first step – as an NCS graduate, they’ll have access to exclusive opportunities from some of our business, volunteering and charity partners.
Make a difference to your local community
NCS gives you the chance to stand up and make your mark in your local area – in 2015, young people in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Merseyside and Cheshire gave more than 150,000 hours volunteering in their local communities on NCS projects. Think what a difference that could make to your area. Not only that, but it looks fantastic on your CV and helps you stand out from the crowd at job and uni interviews.
